SUMMARY: Although centrally-planned Nevada and national events were cancelled, Pfizer Inc. announced the holiday all across the Philippines, there was a nice event in California, and there was a fair amount of media anyway. Plans are already underway for a bigger and better holiday in 2011. Mark your calendars for Monday, July 18, 2011.

The 2010 Holiday had 3 main areas:

1. RENO / SPARKS, NEVADA. U.S.A.

Unfortunately, The Biggest Little Hug - with the Corporate Hug Challenge, and a Balloon Release - at the Sparks Marina, was cancelled due to illness in the founder's family. We plan to be back in 2011, bigger and better. Stay tuned! In the meantime, please give your kids and loved ones an extra hug for us that day.

2. NATIONAL/ UNITED STATES

Unfortunately, all centrally-organized events, like nationwide digital billboards, balloon relases, other National Hug Your Kids events, and Major Leage Baseball announcements, have been cancelled due to illness in the founder's family. This was a big disappointment, because In 2009, we had something going on in 28 states! That's over 1/2 the states in the United States.We plan to be back in 2011, bigger and better. Stay tuned! In the meantime, please give your kids and loved ones an extra hug for us that day.

3. GLOBAL / OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES

A BIG holiday success in the Philippines, thanks to Pfizer Inc. In support of their Clusivol Children's Viamins. The Filipino word for "hug" is Yakap, so they call it "National Yakap Your Child Day."
